No but fr I love cryptozoology so here are some of my favorites :D
I will rank them in a somewhat SCP way
but instead of keter safe tomiel and oothers it will be based on how active (seen) they are, how dangerous/vicious they are, and how cool they are.
OKay so first we have one from my hometown in the french country side: THE LEGGED PIKE (the fish)
So, I live in a region with many quite bucolic lakes but in those lakes they are big fishes like catfish that can grow up to two meters and pikes the lenght of a leg.
Now catfish were only introduced in the late 70' if I remember correctly, but pikes are native to some of our lakes, and can get quite big.
The legend talks about a huge pike with four scaly legs who would prey on babies and todlers in the swamps or in the tall grass around the lakes.
It probably comes from the fact that "lavendières" (the women who would wash clothing) would work at the lake and bring their kids along, they probably made up a story to keep them from swiming without them
or even because some huge fish might have injured kids (have you seen those teeth)
Even today, parents talk about a giant fish that would crawl out of the lake and hide in the grass to drag the frail kids in the lake to drown and feed on them.
Some really believe in it wich takes this creature from the simple bedtime story to a cryptid, really old people think that it might be a demon or a vicious spirit keeping people from fishing to feed their family, and some even say that they saw it when they were younger
It is easely one of my favorite cryptid, mainly because I grew up with it and tried to catch it while fishing with my father telling me about it.

I hate the ocean, I like rivers, Im okay with lakes, but any huge body of water is simply the most awffull thing to me, it's too deep, too grand, too dark. How can people find it calming? I dont know, all I know is that they are a fuck ton of weird creatures under that water and here are a few reasons why you should stay on dry land where the Lord put you.
